Keelan Dimick attended the Manhattan School of Music from 2009 to 2013. During this time, he delved deeply into jazz theory, harmony, and the art of composition. While he was in NYC, he studied with renowned teacher, Garry Dial, while performing and recording with names such as Kobie Watkins, Walter Smith III, Amanda Brecker, and other critically acclaimed artists. After graduating, Keelan has performed internationally and throughout the US as a leader and sideman, including a set of performances in Havana, Cuba. This last year, Keelan was a faculty member at the Fresco Arts Academy, a private arts based high school, in Eagle, ID, where he taught jazz piano and repertoire. Keelan’s most recent venture is joining the Online Jazz School as head of the piano department.
He is currently attending the California Institute of the Arts obtaining his M.F.A. in jazz performance.
